Amazon is looking to hire 2,500 developers for the Snowboard Shop, which it says will allow it to offer customers more creative content and a faster response time.
The site has about 40,000 active users.
“We have been in the business of delivering great customer experiences for years, and we’ve always focused on bringing our customers value and making them feel good,” Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said in a statement.
“The Snowboard Team brings a wealth of experience and insight to the team, including years of experience developing online retail businesses.
We are excited to be a part of their continued growth.”
Amazon started selling snowboards in 2016.
Amazon currently has a team of 1,200 developers working on Snowboard.
It has over 4,000 products on the site, including a new snowboard named The Manta, which was launched in May.
